He Lost His Mind AGAIN!!

And I need to help him find the damn thing.
A few years ago, my husband lost his mind and bought chickens for the kids.
When he bought them, they told us that you HAVE to buy 20…no less than that. The up side to this (that’s how I look at it anyway) is that, usually, not all 20 will live. It seems the *norm* is that some usually die.
Normal? Moi? :hlaugh
All 20 of those fu… :censored lived!! Not only did all 20 live, but 2 of them were roosters. :whatever
One by one, though, each of them met their maker (I love coyotes) and after all was said and done I made the DH promise me that we would never do that again. Only…guess what I was informed of recently?
Right! :eyebrow
While I was staying at the hospital with Mama, he decides the youngest child needs to be able to enter some chickens in the fair like the oldest was able to do a few years ago. My first problem with that? The oldest AND youngest was able to enter 1 rooster and 1 hen each in the fair last time. :rolleyes So no one was left out. My second problem with all of this? He REQUESTED to get 8…count ‘em…EIGHT roosters. :wtf
He cannot begin to imagine just how mad this makes me. He tries to laugh it off and say it’s for the kids and I guess he thinks I’ll be ok with it since it’s for them. Ummm…NO!! The ONLY reason we haven’t had a fallout over this is because it’s been less than 2 weeks since I’ve lost my mom and I’ve got more pressing matters on my mind right now. We WILL, however, have that fallout just as soon as the kids go back to school when spring break is over. :banghead

Being a city girl through and through, I can’t imagine having anything fowl living on my property. My cousin has a couple dozen chickens and one rooster - I swear they’re just replacements for her sons who have now left home. Of course, I thought her three dogs were replacements for the boys too, so who knows?
Good luck to your hubby - I hope he’s enjoyed his life up to this point!
Have a great day, sweetie!
