5 Days and Counting!

Today is my 5th No Smoking Day! Yay me!

I can already tell a difference in my breathing. I love it. I can laugh without going into a coughing fit. I can run around the backyard with my kids longer than I used to. I can tell a difference in a lot of things now and it’s just been 5 days.

Do I still want a cigarette? Sure, at times. But it’s easier to ignore the craving than it was just a couple of days ago.

I’m working with my sister (mama and niece too) now and that helps me keep my mind off of it as well as provides extra exercise. She has a business that she runs out of her house. She cooks (plate lunches, sandwiches, salads…just a little bit of everything really) and delivers to local businesses (factories, banks…etc.).

We are no strangers to working in the food business. And I have to question their sanity (and now mine!) in wanting to get back into something like this.

When all is said and done, it’s great to be able to spend the day with my mama, sister and niece. Not exactly sure why I thought it would be a good idea for my sister to be my *boss* (since that is something she’s tried to be with me for 34 years ), but ah well. :whatever

Working with the public can be a pain at times. One example is when someone calls in an order — I tell them nope, we are full and she can’t take anymore orders today — they call back on another phone (so the same name and number doesn’t show up on our caller ID) and my niece answers and they try to get her to take their order. :rolleyes And just what part of no didn’t you understand? :whatever

What A LOT of people that order from us don’t realize is, they are getting their food fresh. Literally. This stuff isn’t cooked in advance and heated when they call and order. It says plainly on the menu to call your lunch order in by 10am. That is so there is plenty of time to cook it (FRESH) and get it to them. Because uh…they’re not the only friggin’ customer we’ve got. :rolleyes

What gets me? People that want to complain about E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G!!

Don’t get me wrong. I’M the first one to complain if something I pay for isn’t the way I want it, but I’m NOT gonna order from the same place…DAILY…if there is something…DAILY…that I complain about. What’s the point? Hmmmm?? There ARE other places out there to get food from. :rolleyes

Ah well. Little ones seem to think it’s my job to fix them some supper. :wtf

Until next time…
