Never a dull moment with my kids…

Ok, this is really a “you had to be there and see her face” moment for it to be funny, otherwise it’s prolly not, but I had to share anyway.
I left the house to go get my oldest DD from school and halfway there (nothing but fields on each side of the road), there is this UNGODLY smell.
Youngest DD: Oh Mama…ewwww…what’s that?
Me: Shit
Youngest DD: Mama you said a bad word.
Me: Maybe so, but that’s what the smell is (I’m desperately trying not to gag and try to talk at the same time I’m trying not to gag)
We get to the school, get DD and head back home. Halfway back…there’s the smell.
Oldest DD: Oh God. What IS THAT?!? (she’s covering her nose)
Youngest DD: It’s doo-doo (nodding her little head
)
I needed some bleach, so I bypass my house and head to the store. While oldest DD runs in for me, I call DH.
Me: Why is there a hideous shit smell on the way to school?
DH: farmer up the road fertilized his fields with chicken shit
Me: Good God. He needs to stop that. Gag. I then tell him what the girls had to say about it.
DH: laughing
Oldest DD gets in the truck and I get off the phone. I inform them that the farmer has fertilized his fields with chicken *stuff*.
Oldest DD: Well that’s just TMI (This got me. Not sure why that’s TMI, but I start giggling.)
Youngest DD: WHY would he want his fields to smell that way? (Here’s when I lost it
The look on her face was priceless because her 5 year old self couldn’t figure out why someone would want a FIELD to smell like that)
